UTICA-IL- The Great Hall of Starved Rock Lodge will be the setting for a Masquerade Ball on Sunday, October 28, 2007. The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m., featuring a Martini Bar. A strolling magician will entertain guests from 6-8 p.m. "We wanted to offer something different to our guests and people in the Illinois Valley," said Edna Daugherty, Activities Director at the Lodge, "All you need is a mask, but full costumes are encouraged, especially because we're offering great prizes for the best costume." The Dinner Buffet consist of a variety of items prepared by Chef Charlie and dessert will be prepared by the Lodge's in-house pastry chef, Joyce Shevokas. Dancing and relaxing will be on the agenda with music from the "Jazz Action Figures" Band. Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased by calling the Lodge at 800-868-ROCK, Extension 386. Photos will be available for $5.00 each.
